So the countdown starts!
Tomorrow is the first race. Feeling confident?
If you want to know about times and the process, it's all in the Sailing Instructions.
One thing that helps make Wednesday Night racing work is Mark Boat duty! If you or your crew can take one week to help with setting marks, we will be set for the year. Just sign up to help one of the Wednesdays over the summer.
What do you need? Just 1-2 people and a willingness to help. There is some lifting and you might get wet from the anchor lines, but it is pretty low-impact. If you work on the mark boat instead of racing, we'll even give you an average score. That should make it very painless!
You can sign up for mark boat duty >HERE<
Do you know your boat will miss a week for vacations? That might be a great week go get crew to volunteer in the mark boat!
Did you win an award last year? I'm looking for you to sign up first!
St. Michaels Wednesday Night Racing hosts races on Wednesday evenings. The races
run from the first Wednesday in May to the first Wednesday in October
giving us about 22 evenings of fun!

Hotline!
410-745-4983
Don't believe the hype. You can always call to find out if I'm going out tonight.
We set up this hotline so that you can call before a race to find out what we have planned. Normally it just says we're racing, but there are some occasions where the weather is iffy. What to do? How will you know if we are racing that evening?
I leave a message on there every week (usually by 4pm) letting you know what I'm thinking. If we cancel, I'll announce it on there. The message will not change when it's closer than 45 minutes to the start. At that point, we're on the race course. Up until then, the message is good!
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum lets us use this number for some reason. I think they must have forgotten that we use it. Be nice to them when you see them.

Register now
We missed you at the Skipper's Meeting on April 17th. We took care of a lot of important things.
So, what do you need to know and do to be ready for the Season?
First, let's get you registered. If you're on a PHRF boat, >HERE< is the form. Fill it out and send it with a check for $50 to:
St. Michaels Wednesday Night Racing
215 S Hanson St
Easton, MD 21601
Are you on a Star boat? You can get the form >HERE<. Since you already paid, you can just email the form to us.
What's new this year
There is one big change this year. We're combining the starts for the PHRF A and PHRF B classes. We will start the Stars and then we'll start the PHRF boats. When we do the trophies, we will still have an A class and a B class.
Don't panic! Are you trying to panic? It's okay.
Same classes and trophies you have seen in the past. We are just combining the two starts into one. With any luck, more B class boats will be able to finish in the light air. We will also be able to try some other scoring systems to see if they would work for us.
Okay - now go register!
