St. Michaels Wednesday Night Racing hosts races on Wednesday evenings. The races run from the first Wednesday in May to the first Wednesday in October giving us about 22 evenings of fun!
The Jimmy Wilson Race was a lot of fun, but the winds were sure light. After looking at the images and video, I saw that the winds were lighter than I remembered. Maybe I have more of a wishful memory.
We have reached that time of year when the sunsets are awesome!
I'm glad we were able to get in the race. Enjoy the video.
Well, I know why this video is short! The hoist broke at the Club, and many boats could not make it to the start. There were six boats on the starting line, and I did everything I could to catch them. But you only want to see the same boat so many times!
Oh so close to being caught up! Here is a shorter video from 7/20. I can't remember why there were fewer photos. Something about the weather, undoubtedly.
I was not expecting such a dramatic change in light over the start and couldn't adjust fast enough, I think I can adjust the settings and do a better job. I like the pictures, though!
If you see a photo you like, I can clean it up and send it to you.
Want to relive all the excitement from the multiple recalls? Maybe make fun of your friend who was clearly 2 boat lengths over? (I mean, come on - 2 boat lengths?)
https://player.vimeo.com/video/343489487 Bucky Buchanan was nice enough to take the video from last night and render it into something we can post up for everyone to watch. Thanks Bucky!
So who gets the vote for "Most likely to be heading the wrong way at the Start"?
Incidentally, we happened to catch Aunt Evelyn in the first frame out of pure coincidence. Or maybe we didn't. I can't really remember now. maybe volunteering gets your photo prominently displayed? But no, it was a coincidence.
