SMURF results for 9/9
All kinds of interesting changes for SMURF last night. It's fun to see the order changed up a bit and it's good to see that non-spin works in the SMURF ratings too.
Congratulations to Swagman for crushing the start and carrying it all the way through to a first place finish! Being short-handed didn't slow her down.

It turns out that, if you put up five big honkin' sails, your boat will move pretty darn fast. Congratulations to Pagan for a very fast race finishing first in SMURF for class B.
Congrats to Claiborne Ferry for carrying over their fast race to a first place finish in Class A.

There was some movement with SMURF ratings, but the leaders still held in there. Good Job!
Remember that each Wednesday evening after the races, MRYC is open to come watch the videos shot on the course, enjoy dinner, and see the results. There are even trophies for the nightly first place winners!

SMURF results from 6/3
In the SMURF, Ostinato was able to hold on to her lead of 3 seconds, but big changes in the B class. Moonraker seems to have found her point of sail coming in a whopping 4 minutes in the lead corrected!
Congratulations to everyone who came out and braved the storm warnings. Turned out to be nothing.
People often ask what site I use for storm prediction. My choice is http://www.intellicast.com/, but they are all good.

Oh yes, we didn't forget about SMURF.
SMURF - that is Saint Michaels Unifying Rating Formula.
The A class did about the same last night in SMURF, but the B class had all kinds of changes. Congratulations to the crew on Taaris for a very fast race - she had a whopping lead at the finish. Glad to see that Thunderbirds are still fast on the course. Moonraker also had a great night correcting over several boats to come in second.

SMURF results from 8/20
We're back to SMURF racing and the boats are grouping up. There is an occasional outlier, but most of the boats are finishing corrected to about the same time. No slacking off - those seconds count!
Congratulations to Alex Schuster and the crew of Swagman for a fast race. Looks like that non-spin paid off. Also staying in the lead was Jim Richardson and the crew of Claiborne Ferry. Good job!

Lots of good stuff for SMURF racing this week.
Rick Morgan and the crew of Evil Woman managed to save their time and beat out Javelin for 1st.
B class had lots of mixing up, but Ful Dek held fast to their strong lead taking the SMURF finish as well.
Great fun out there. You can see all the SMURF results >HERE<
