It was a beautiful night for racing! We used the 12-knot wind ratings for the handicap boats. There were plenty of gusts over 12, but we averaged around 12.

Congratulations to Marty and crew on Bella for a first-place finish in the cruising class. Also having a great night coming in first was Jeff and crew on Ostinato, as well as Matt and Eric on Manipulator.

Once again, we had a beautiful night of racing! You've got to love 8 knots of wind. With a low-angle spinnaker run to Gibson Flats, most of the handicap boats flew down the course. We had all the handicap boats finished before the Stars, but everyone finished by 7:15.

Congratulations to Jeff Staley and the crew on Ostinato on their first-place finish last night. Matt and Eric on Manipulator in the Stars and the crew on Ful Dek in the cruising class also had a great night, finishing first.

After waiting for the wind, we did get in a start just before 7pm. Unfortunately, we could only finish the Stars. Still, it's nice to be on the water!

I'm still figuring out how to use the software, so it might still show the handicap boats getting points for DNC. That's obviously not true. We abandoned, so you will get no points. I'll figure it out. The season results will be accurate regardless.

Handicap boats will also notice that we're doing some shadow scoring using ORC and EZ when a boat has a certificate in those systems. This should give us more data as the season goes on!

Get your boats ready - We have to get some good spring wind here soon!
