Oops! Here it is Friday and I need to tell you the results from Wednesday.
The weather reports were saying that the atmosphere was "unsettled". It sure seemed like that to us. They were calling for 7-10 knots with rain coming about 9 pm. They were right on the 9 pm for rain, but man did we have wind! Most of the evening we had 18-20 from the east.
Most everyone had a great time flying around in the heavier air. Sorry you didn't have a good night, Jeff.
It turns out that there is something out there in the water near the Gibson's Flats (G "5"). I don't know what it is, but Jeff found it with the bottom of his boat. I guess we won't be using the B mark for a while.
Congratulations to Tim and Tim on Tim's Boat for an excellent finish despite some theatrics on the course (the video of the finish is exciting!). Also doing an excellent job was Jeff Pevey and the crew of Ful Dek and Rick Morgan and the crew of Evil Woman for solid finishes in their classes.
