Clouds to the south of me, Storms to the north!
Despite the weather's best attempts to stop the racing last night, we were able to get in a nice sail. Reasonable winds over the evening that stayed up through most of the race. It did fall out near the end, but everyone managed to finish.
Congratulations to Willem Roosenburg and crew on Javelin for a first-place finish last night. Also having a great night coming in first was the Star Ludey (8045) and the PHRF B racer Ful Dek! Great job!
You can see all the results from last night >here<
Just to top off the evening, the RC got a visit from the local DNR to find out why we were shooting a gun. It seems someone complained we were shooting a shotgun at sailboaters. Give that we've been racing for 30+ years on the Miles, I'm surprised that it came up. The DNR didn't seem too happy at the person who called it in, so good luck out there crazy boaters.
How is your spring series coming along? Want to check up on the season as it progresses? We post all the updates >here<
I don't always update on the same day, but I'm close.
