Holly Cats! did we talk about the races on the 24th. Everything appears to be settled now, but yes, the course was a little non-standard.It's okay, though. We spent a lot of time talking about it in the Steering Committee and Race Committee groups. The "hook finish" was a little unusual, but the communication on the course was good and all boats sailed the same course. It was felt that the course was fair to all competitors, so the race can be scored. All the hard work you put in to race will count.
Rest assured - no more hook finishes on purpose. We try to make everything perfect and every once and a while we succeed. We love to have your input, but be careful about how give input on the water. I'm usually at the club afterward and we can always talk over email.
